The title compound 4-azido-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl (C9H17N4O, Mr = 197.27) has been synthesized and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to triclinic, space group P1 with a = 5.8464(12), b = 8.2476(17), c = 11.954(2) ?, á = 101.973(4), a = 97.186(3), ? = 100.232(3)o, V = 546.98(19) ?3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.198 g/cm3, ì(MoKá) = 0.082 mm–1, F(000) = 214, R = 0.0495 and wR = 0.1355 for 1677 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I). X-ray analysis reveals that the six-membered ring adopts a chair conformation and the bond length of N(1)–O(1) is 1.2838(19) ?.
The title compound 6H,7H,13H,14H-5a,6a,7a,12a,13a,14a-hxaazbenz[f]indeno[2,1,8-ija]naphth[2,3-f]azulene-14b,14c-dicarboxylic-5,8,12,15-tetrahydro-6,8,14-trioxo-diethyl ester (C27H26N6O7,Mr=546.54) has been synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to monoclinic,space group P21/c with a=8.8129(6),b=17.9883(13),c=16.2623(11),β=98.770(2)°,V=2547.9(3)3,Z=4,Dc=1.425 g/cm3,μ(MoKα)=0.105 mm-1,F(000)=1144,the final R=0.0672 and wR=0.1162 for 2275 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I). The crystal structural analysis shows that intermolecular C-H···O hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions result in a three-dimensional framework. The binding study by fluorescence spectroscopy titration showed that he title compound can selectively recognize Fe3+ with fluorescence quenching.
