Os isotopic evidence for a carbonaceous chondritic mantle source for the Nagqu ophiolite from Tibet and its implications被引量:3

Early-crystallizing chromian spinel(Cr-spinel) in the Nagqu ophiolite has high Os and low Re contents,and it is resistant to alteration during serpentinization,weathering and metamorphism.The chemical composition of primitive magma is preserved in Cr-spinel,which makes it suitable for determining the initial Os-isotope composition of the mantle source.This study presents Cr-spinel Os isotopes and zircon U-Pb ages for cumulate dunite and gabbro,respectively,in the same cumulate section of the ophiolite at Nagqu in Tibet.The results shed light on the formation and evolution of lithospheric mantle.The Nagqu ophiolite is located in the central part of the Bangong-Nujiang suture zone.It is a remnant of the Neotethyan oceanic crust,and contains cumulate dunite and gabbro.Zircon from the gabbro yielded a weighted mean 206 Pb/238 U age of 183.7±1 Ma.Cr-spinel exhibits Os values of 0.2 to 0.3,suggesting that the mantle source for the dunite is similar to that of carbonaceous chondrites.Thus,the Tibetan lithosphere is primarily a relic of Tethyan oceanic lithosphere,which has formed by the transformation of the normal asthenospheric mantle in the Mesozoic.This is the first study to combine the spinel Os isotopes with accurate zircon U-Pb ages to constrain the geochemical characteristics of the mantle source for the ophiolite.

Geochemistry of the Eocene Felsic Porphyric Rocks and High-Mg Potassic Rocks along JARSZ:Implication for the Tectonic Evolution in Eastern Tibet被引量:3

Eocene felsic porphyric rocks and the high-Mg potassic volcanic rocks(HMPR) occur along the Jinshajiang-Ailao Shan-Red River shear zone(JARSZ) in eastern Tibet.Compared with the HMPR,which are generally believed to be sourced from an enriched mantle,the felsic porphyric rocks show similar K_2O contents,enrichment in LREE and LILE,particularly radiogenic isotope(e.g.Sr and Nd) features much similar to the former,implying generation of the felsic porphyric rocks most likely related to the HMPR,although they both have clearly different major and trace element compositions. The close relationship in spatial-temporal distribution and similar Sr-Nd characteristics between the felsic porphyric rocks and HMPR in eastern Tibet indicate that both of them were possibly formed by a similar tectonic process(event).Combining the basic dikes in southern and eastern Tibet,we suggest that the break-off of north-dipping Neo-Tethyan slab in southern Tibet during 50-40 Ma,triggered formation of high-Mg potassic magma.This led to developing felsic porphyric magma production by partial melting of underplating HMPR in the lower crust,or fractionation crystallization of the high-Mg potassic magmas.The break-off of slab in the Eocene may also have contributed to the abundant ore-forming material related to earlier subduction events,resulting in formation of the porphyric deposits along JARSZ in eastern Tibet.

Chronology and Geochemistry of the Nadingcuo Volcanic Rocks in the Southern Qiangtang Region of the Tibetan Plateau:Partial Melting of Remnant Ocean Crust along the Bangong-Nujiang Suture被引量:16

The Nadingcuo high-K calc-alkaline rocks mainly composed of trachyte and trachyandesite are the largest outcrop area of volcanic rocks in southern Qiangtang terrane in the Tibetan plateau. However,their exact source and peterogenesis are still debated.^(40)Ar-^(39)Ar and LAM-ICPMS zircon U-Pb isotopic dating confirm that these rocks erupted in Eocene.In addition,the Nadingcuo volcanic rocks are characterized by high Sr/Y content ratios,similar with the adakite derived from partial melting of oceanic crust.They can be further classified as high Mg~#(Mg~#=48-57) and low Mg~# (Mg~#=33-42) subtypes.The Nadingcuo adakitic rocks have relatively low(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)_i and highε_(Nd)(t), showing a trend of similarity to the Dongcuo ophiolite present in the Bangong-Nujiang oceanic crust. Simple modeling indicates that the Nadingcuo adakitic rocks are a mix resulting from the basalt of Bangong-Nujiang Ocean with 10%-20%crustal material of Lhasa terrane.On these bases we suggest that the low Mg~# Nadingcuo adakitic rocks are the product of partial melting of remnant oceanic crust with small sediment,and the high Mg~# rocks are the result of reaction between rising melt of remnant oceanic crust with subducted sediment and mantle wedge.Therefore,the origin of Nadingcuo adakitic rocks may be related to intracontinental subduction triggered by collision of India-Asia during Cenozoic.

青藏高原南部谢通门侏罗纪埃达克质岩地球化学特征及其形成机制被引量:3

青藏高原南部谢通门地区出露一些中侏罗世的闪长岩,岩石具有类似于埃达克质岩的地球化学特征,如高的SiO2(>59%)、Sr(771~798μg/g)、低HREE和Y(<12μg/g)含量,高Sr/Y(>64)、La/Yb(4.4<(La/Yb)N<19.2)值,较高的MgO(3.02%~3.17%),具有一定Sr正异常和无明显Eu负异常。拉萨地块南部在中侏罗世时期不仅发育有基性和酸性的岩浆作用,而且还发育有斑岩型矿床——雄村斑岩Cu-Au矿床。另外,谢通门闪长岩具有与太平洋西北部Bowes Ridge地区中基性埃达克质岩十分相似的地球化学特征,而后者形成于中新世俯冲大洋板片断离的构造环境之中。因此研究区中侏罗世谢通门闪长岩很可能为北向俯冲的新特提斯洋板片断离并发生部分熔融的产物。

高精度热电离质谱(TIMS)在南极陨石研究中的应用前景被引量:2

热电离质谱(TIMS)是同位素地球化学研究中传统、可靠、分析精度高的主要测试仪器之一,尤其对于微量样品的高精度同位素比值测定,以其高精度和高灵敏度获得广泛的认可,这一特征在天体化学微量样品同位素研究中具有广阔的应用前景。目前,新型TRITON TIMS质谱仪已实现了Re-Os,Cr,Sr,Nd,Pb等同位素的高精度测定。采用TIMS测定Sr同位素比值的Sr含量范围可由10—100 ng以上,87Sr/88Sr比值测定精度可达到5‰—5 ppm;LaJolla Nd同位素标样测试结果为:143Nd/144Nd=0.511 842±0.000 005(2SE,n=28),143Nd/144Nd比值测定精度最佳可达2 ppm;207Pb-204Pb双稀释剂法对Pb含量为5—20 ng样品测定,外部精度206Pb/204Pb、207Pb/204Pb和208Pb/204Pb分别达到±0.003 4、±0.004 6和±0.010 0(2SE,n=28);负离子状态(NTIMS)下对Os含量值为几至几十pg的样品进行测定,187Os/188Os比值精度可达0.2‰以内,对Os含量为ng级的样品,187Os/188Os比值精度好于20 ppm;Cr同位素比值50Cr/52Cr,53Cr/52Cr,54Cr/52Cr的分析精度分别可达到1 ppm,2 ppm,2 ppm(2SD)以内。这些方法涵盖了亲石元素、亲铁元素,长寿命放射性同位素和短寿命灭绝核素的同位素研究,为中国南极陨石的深入研究提供了有力技术保障。

青藏高原拉萨地块广泛分布有新生代超钾质岩,岩石地球化学和Sr-Nd—Pb同位素特征表明这些超钾质岩来源于与古俯冲环境有着密切联系的含金云母的富集地幔源区,它们主要喷发于25~10Ma。同时在拉萨地块分布有多条南北向地堑(裂谷),且它们的切割深度可能到达下地壳的深部甚至岩石圈地幔,它们主要形成于23~8Ma。拉萨地块大多数超钾质岩沿着新生代的南北向地堑(裂谷)分布,并且它们在形成时代和空间分布上存在着明显的耦合性,结合沿着印度-雅鲁藏布江缝合带分布的中新世埃达克质岩,笔者认为这些超钾质岩很可能与中新世早期北向俯冲的印度岩石圈沿着印度-雅鲁藏布江缝合带附近发生断离,以及由此而引起拉萨地块东西向伸展构造活动产生的南北向地堑(裂谷)系统有关。

天山0.9Ga新元古代花岗岩SHRIMP锆石U-Pb年龄及其构造意义被引量:64

天山造山带的中天山隆起带中广泛出露着新元古代花岗岩类岩石。获得了东天山星星峡和西天山温泉地区片麻状花岗岩中锆石的SHRIMPU-Pb年龄,分别为(942±7)Ma(2σ)和(919±6)Ma(2σ)。这些花岗岩以特有的粗粒、巨大的眼球状片麻结构为特征。主元素数据表明它们属于过铝质的二长花岗岩,具有高SiO2(≥70%)、高K2O+Na2O(7%~≥8%),且K2O>Na2O。这些新元古代花岗岩类岩石具不同的REE含量,但它们有近于平行的REE分布曲线和明显的Eu负异常,同时代的星星峡混合岩具有较高的REE含量,明显富集LREE。它们的微量元素蛛网图几乎完全相同,均有明显的Nb、Sr、Ti、P负异常。基于Nd同位素组成研究,其εNd(t)在-4至~0之间,Nd模式年龄tDM为2.0~1.6Ga。由于放射成因Sr同位素组成非常高,不可能得到精确有意义的Sr同位素初始值。上述特征均表明这些新元古代花岗岩形成于大陆边缘构造环境,由古元古代地壳重熔并经历了高度的结晶分异作用而形成。综合近年来发表的关于天山各地段,诸如温泉、赛里木湖以东、拉尔敦达坂、巴仑台和星星峡等地区较为可靠的锆石U-Pb年龄数据,我们认为天山新元古代花岗岩类岩石主要形成于960~910Ma。结合塔里木盆地周边古老地块年龄的研究结果,可以推断在早新元古代时期塔里木周边和天山的古老地块可能曾组成Rodinia超大陆的一部分。

高精度铅同位素^207Pb-^204Pb双稀释剂TIMS测试方法被引量:7

利用热电离质谱(TIMS)和207Pb-204Pb双稀释法测定低含量Pb岩石样品的同位素比值,可以有效校正由质谱分析造成的同位素分馏效应,提高铅同位素比值测定的精度和准确度。本文利用中国科学院广州地球化学研究所Triton TIMS,建立了207Pb-204Pb双稀释剂测试方法,并对Pb含量为5~20 ng的国际标样SRM981进行3个月的TIMS仪器测定,双稀释剂法外部校正后得到的206Pb/204Pb、207Pb/204Pb和208Pb/204Pb外部精度分别为±0.0034、±0.0046和±0.0100(2sd,n=28)。达到或优于其他国际高水平TIMS实验室双稀释剂法测定精度。同时,运用新方法对国际岩石标样AGV-2和BCR-2进行测定,得到的比值分别为:206Pb/204Pb=18.870±0.006、207Pb/204Pb=15.619±0.003、208Pb/204Pb=38.546±0.012和206Pb/204Pb=18.752±0.011、207Pb/204Pb=15.619±0.005、208Pb/204Pb=38.723±0.020,与国际同类实验室测定结果和精度一致,表明该新建方法是可靠的。运用207Pb-204Pb双稀释剂法对岩石样品进行测定,可获得高精度铅同位素比值,尤其对低含量Pb的基性、超基性地质样品测定有很大的优势。
