According to the QuickBird satellite images with 0.61 m resolution on October 5,2009,the images of three campuses in Jinshui District,Zhengzhou City,Henan Province were interpreted and analyzed by MapGIS.Interpretation signs were constructed based on field investigation and after adjustment of the images,landscape index of three campuses were obtained as well as their landscape fractal dimensions and patch shape index.These figures would be used to compare the campus landscape of the three universities and analyze the differences in their landscape patterns.Finally the reasonable layout was presented,and it was suggested to rationally design the campus landscape and enhance the humanistic construction based on the original topography and landform,aiming to provide references for designing the landscape pattern on campus.
