结果:父母离间与青少年内外化问题行为之间存在显著正相关关系(p Objective: Parental alienation is the phenomenon in which a child is manipulated by one parent to oppose and refuse contact with the other parent. The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of parental estrangement on adolescents’ internalizing and externalizing problem behaviors and the role of the parent-child relationship between them. Methods: The Parental Alienation Scale, the Parent-Child Relationship Scale, and the Adolescent Internalizing Problem Behaviour Scale were used to analyze the questionnaires of 713 secondary school students. Results: There was a significant positive correlation between parental dissociation and adolescents’ internalizing and externalizing problem behaviors (p < 0.001). The parent-child relationship played a significant mediating role between parental disengagement and adolescent internalizing problem behaviours, and the model was well-fitted (CFI = 0.973, RMSEA = 0.040). Results of the non-parametric percentile Bootstrap method test using bias correction showed a significant mediating effect of the parent-child relationship between the two, with none of the Bootstrap confidence intervals containing zero. Conclusion: Parental separation negatively affects adolescents’ internalizing and externalizing problem behaviors, and the quality of the parent-child relationship plays an important mediating role in this process.
