The right guiding thoughts in scienfific research in traditional Chinese sexual medicine should mbrace the following points:(1)Maintaining and carrying forward the characteristics of ,and adhering to,the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine and materia medica.(2)Ample application of modern science and technology.(3) Integration with actual conditions,such as personal,technical.economical,sample and social conditions.Besides,great importance should be attached to the thinking in selection of subjects,because the latter is an important component of thoughts in scientific research,the starting point of whole research activities,and a strategic decision which goes through and guides the whole course of research.
