Misdiagnosis and missed diagnosiswere very common in aneurysnal bone cyst,especially when they were acompanied withother diseases. It was difficult to make confirmeddiagnosis before pathological examination.14 cases with this disease weretreated in our hospital recently.Before operation, some were misdiagnosedas giant cell tumor of bone, bonecyst, granuloma, osteogenic sarcome, etc.In basic hospital, some were misdiagnosedas thecal cyst or arthritis, The main causesof misdiagnosis are that this disease hassimilar symptoms and X-ray signs to the giantcell tumor of bone and the bone cyst.But the expension parts in this disease bulgewhich look like canvas. Also it has intactoutline and some periosteal reactions whichare the main evidences of diagnosis.This disease is treted mainly by curettingand grafting. lt was treated by graftingwith bone matrix gelatin in our hospital andsatisfactory results were obtalined.
